Cindy's Shawl

I did get quite a bit done on the shawl Cindy wears in part of the play, "Into the Woods". We chose a sage colored plush and an eyelet embellished soft corduroy which really does match but takes the light differently. For trim, we found this incredibly expensive organza trim with hand beading and embroidery.
Also got Sky's peach pettycoat together except for the hem and have trimmed the skirt's velvet forepart with the gold bullion trim.
Kim's fabric is prepped for her skirt and that's part of what's on the burner for today.

WOW! That's incredible. All of that in paper that they applied/created the design. Even the lace and embrodered white pieces. And they actually sewed the paper. That's the coolest project I've seen in a long time.
And your pieces are gorgeous as always. Love the winter colors and fabrics starting with your work.

I loved the Podcast from the Royal Ontario showing how they curate her dresses as well.
All the colors of 'my girls' are complimentary, as usual. I finished Kim's skirt this afternoon along with a back up blouse for Cindy and hung them all, including Cindy's and Sky's petticoats, on the back porch clothes line to let the bias relax out of them.

Dina, you are amazing!! I love the color of Cindy's shawl and I still think that Sky will NEVER want to remove that gorgeous gown. :)
I was thinking about the cap for my costume. Could it be something easier? We've been blocking scenes and I'm REALLY falling & rolling so maybe just a kerchief that I wouldn't have to worry about falling off? Just a thought. Please, please, please let me know if you need anything.

Hey Beauty! I've thought of that! Your headgear base is a biggins, a kind of bonnet very close fitting with ties that were tied under the chin or at the back of the head.
The muffin cap that goes on the top of it is pinned to the biggins. I'll try to get both finished up so you can use them in blocking to be sure they work and to make any adjustments before curtain.
Your skirt is finished and hanging up to let the bias settle before hemming. I was planning on cutting your blouse but will build your hat and biggins first.
